Depop Fee Calculator
Enter your price and shipping and see exactly what Depop takes and what you keep. It uses the current US rates (no selling fee, processing on item plus shipping plus tax, optional Boosted Listing fee) and can also work backwards to the price you should list at. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

| Boosted Listings fee on item price (new listings from 23 March 2026) | 12% | Oct 26, 2026 |
| Payment processing fixed fee per sale | $0.45 | Oct 26, 2026 |
| Payment processing % on item + shipping + taxes | 3.3% | Oct 26, 2026 |
| Depop selling fee for US sellers | 0% | Oct 26, 2026 |
How these numbers are modelled
- US sellers only. Depop charges US sellers no selling fee; the only fee on a normal sale is payment processing, charged on item price plus shipping plus any taxes, plus a fixed amount per sale.
- Boosted Listings: the 12% fee is charged only when the sale came from a Boosted Listing. It applies to the item price (without taxes) and, if you did not use a Depop shipping label, to the shipping cost as well. Older listings may carry an earlier boost rate; this calculator uses the rate Depop lists for listings created on or after 23 March 2026.
- Refunds: Depop says all fees are reversed when a sale is refunded.
- Not modelled: UK and Australian rates, bundle discounts (enter the bundle total as the price and quantity 1), currency conversion and the buyer marketplace fee, which the buyer pays.
How it is calculated
Depop selling fee = 0% for US sellers. Payment processing fee = 3.3% x (item price x quantity + shipping + sales tax) + $0.45, rounded to the cent. Optional boost fee = 12% x item price (plus the shipping charged if you did not use a Depop shipping label), only when the sale came from a Boosted Listing created on or after 23 March 2026. Net payout = item price x quantity + shipping charged - fees. Profit = net payout - item cost x quantity - shipping you pay.
All math runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent to our server. Each line is rounded to the cent and amounts are shown in the currency of the selected country, never mixed.
What Depop takes from a US sale
For US sellers the fee list is short, but each line has its own base, and that is where most calculators go wrong. Rates below were read from Depop's seller fees page on October 26, 2026.
- Selling fee: 0%. Depop states that no selling fees are charged to sellers based in the US, UK or Australia.
- Payment processing: 3.3% + $0.45. Charged on the item price plus shipping plus any applicable taxes. The fixed $0.45 is paid once per transaction, including a bundle.
- Boosting fee: 12%, only for boosted sales. Charged on the item price (without taxes) and, if you did not use a Depop shipping label, on the shipping cost as well. It applies to Boosted Listings created on or after 23 March 2026.
Worked examples
A $25 item with $4.99 shipping means the buyer pays $29.99 before tax. Processing is $1.44, so you keep $28.55, which is 95.2% of the order and a 4.8% take rate.
Add 8% sales tax paid by the buyer. The tax is $2.40 and the processing fee grows to $1.52, because the fee base includes tax. You keep $28.47.
Now the same order from a Boosted Listing and a Depop label. The boost fee is $3.00 on top of the $1.44 processing, so total fees are $4.44 and you keep $25.55, or 85.2%. Without a Depop label the boost fee is $3.60, fees are $5.04 and you keep $24.95.
For cheap items the fixed fee dominates. A $1 item with no shipping pays $0.48 in processing and you keep $0.52, so nearly half goes to fees.
Traps to know
- The 10% selling fee is outdated. Some calculators still apply it. It is not charged to US sellers today.
- Shipping is in the fee base. Charging more shipping raises the processing fee, and tax does too.
- Boosting is not free reach. On low margin items a 12% boost fee can wipe out most of your profit, so check it before you boost.
- Buyer versus seller. The buyer pays the item, shipping and tax. All the fees above come out of the seller payout.
- Refunds reverse fees. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses the selling, processing and boosting fees.
Price to list for a target profit
Fill in your item cost, the shipping you charge and the shipping you pay, then read the price-to-list result. For an item that cost $10 with $4.99 shipping charged and paid, you need to list at $23.39 to keep $12.00 profit, or at $20.05 to reach a 35% margin. The calculator solves the fixed fee and the percentage together, so you do not have to guess.
What this calculator does not model
- Depop sellers outside the US (rates differ by country).
- Boosted Listings created before 23 March 2026, which may carry an earlier rate.
- Sales tax rules by state, or tax on your own income.
- Currency conversion, withdrawal or bank fees, and any Depop promotions.
- Returns or disputes beyond the refund rule above.

Frequently asked questions
Does Depop charge a selling fee in the US?
No. Depop states that no Depop selling fees are charged to sellers based in the UK, US or Australia (checked October 26, 2026). A 10% selling fee is still shown by some calculators, but it is outdated for US sellers.
What is the Depop payment processing fee?
For US sellers Depop Payments charges 3.3% plus $0.45 per sale (checked October 26, 2026). On a $25 item with $4.99 shipping that is $1.44, and you keep $28.55 of the $29.99 the buyer pays.
Is the processing fee charged on shipping and tax?
Yes. Depop says the fee is charged on the item sale price plus shipping costs and any applicable taxes. At 8% sales tax on the same $25 order plus $4.99 shipping the processing fee rises from $1.44 to $1.52.
How much does a Boosted Listing cost?
In the US the boosting fee is 12% of the item sale price, excluding taxes, for Boosted Listings created on or after 23 March 2026. If you did not use a Depop shipping label, the shipping cost is added to the base. It is charged only when a sale comes from the boost.
What does a boosted sale cost compared with a normal one?
On a $25 item with $4.99 shipping, a boosted sale with a Depop label adds a $3.00 boost fee, so total fees are $4.44 instead of $1.44 and you keep $25.55. Without a Depop label the boost fee is $3.60, total fees are $5.04 and you keep $24.95.
Are Depop fees refunded if the sale is refunded?
Depop states that if a sale is refunded, all fees (selling, payment processing and boosting) are reversed too (checked October 26, 2026).
How do fees work on bundles?
Depop says the payment processing fee applies once per bundle transaction, so the $0.45 fixed part is paid once, not per item. Use the quantity box for identical items in one order.
What price should I list at to take home a target amount?
Use the price-to-list result. Example: an item that cost you $10 with $4.99 shipping charged and paid needs a list price of $23.39 to leave $12.00 profit, or $20.05 to reach a 35% margin.
