Etsy Fees by Country 2026: Rates Side by Side

Updated Oct 25, 2026 · 4 min read

Etsy's listing fee ($0.20 USD), transaction fee (6.5%), Offsite Ads fee (15% or 12%, capped at $100 USD) and currency conversion fee (2.5%) are the same everywhere; payment processing and the regulatory operating fee vary by country. Rates below were read from Etsy's own pages on 25 October 2026.

Etsy does not charge the same fees in every country. Four fees are the same wherever you sell, and two (payment processing and the regulatory operating fee) change with your country. This page puts them side by side for 11 countries, using what Etsy publishes on its own pages, checked on 25 October 2026. If a blog or a competitor shows a different number, treat Etsy's page as the authority and use the date.

Fees that are the same in all 11 countries

Fee Rate
Listing fee $0.20 USD per listing, converted to your payment account currency at the market rate. Also charged on auto-renewal and for each extra quantity sold
Transaction fee 6.5% of the price plus shipping plus gift wrapping
Offsite Ads 15% (under $10,000 USD in the prior 365 days) or 12% (at or above), capped at $100 USD per order, 30-day attribution window
Currency conversion 2.5% of the sale amount, only if the listing currency differs from the payment account currency

Fees that depend on your country

Country Currency Payment processing Regulatory operating fee
United States USD 3% + 0.25 USD none
United Kingdom GBP 4% + 0.20 GBP 0.48%
Canada CAD 3% + 0.25 CAD (4% + 0.25 CAD international) 0.50%
Australia AUD 3% + 0.25 AUD (4% + 0.25 AUD international) none
Ireland EUR 4% + 0.30 EUR none
New Zealand NZD 3% + 0.30 NZD (4% + 0.30 NZD international) none
Singapore SGD 4.4% + 0.35 SGD none
India INR 5% + 25 INR 0.05%
South Africa ZAR 4.5% + 8 ZAR none
Philippines PHP 4.5% + 25 PHP none
Malta EUR 4% + 0.30 EUR none

Processing is charged on the whole order total, including tax and shipping. The regulatory operating fee applies to the order total as Etsy describes it in the help article What is a Regulatory Operating Fee. That article lists other countries too, which this calculator does not cover: France 1.14%, Hungary 1.97%, Italy 0.80%, Spain 0.88%, Turkiye 1.67% and Vietnam 1.24%. "None" means the country is not on Etsy's list.

Small payouts: deposit fees

In South Africa Etsy lists a deposit fee of 30 ZAR for deposits under 1,500 ZAR, and in the Philippines 100 PHP for deposits under 5,000 PHP. Our calculators do not model deposit fees, because they depend on how often you take payouts, so add them yourself if you pay them.

Domestic and international orders

For Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Etsy publishes a higher processing rate for international orders: 4% instead of 3%. In Canada the 3% rate also covers orders from the US. The calculators have an "International order" box that switches to the higher rate. Other countries in this table have a single rate.

VAT and GST on fees

Etsy states that its fees are exclusive of VAT and charges VAT where required. For the UK, the EU excluding Ireland (so Malta), Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India and the Philippines, a VAT ID on your account means you are not charged; Ireland and South Africa are charged regardless. Canada has its own GST/HST, PST, RST and QST rules and the US applies sales tax to certain fees. Etsy does not publish percentages, so the calculators use standard national rates and flag them as unverified. The full explanation is in the VAT on Etsy fees guide.

What changed in 2026?

We found no change log and no stated 2026 rate change on the Etsy pages we checked. The Fees & Payments Policy says it was last updated on 5 October 2026 and the Etsy Payments Policy on 31 July 2026, and the rates on them match those above. A competitor site claimed a change on 22 June 2026; we could not confirm it. If you find Etsy announcing a change, tell us and we will update the date and the numbers.

Figures that third-party sites get wrong

When we compared common claims with Etsy's pages, most matched, but two did not: Canada's regulatory operating fee is 0.50%, not 1.15%, and Australian domestic processing is 3% plus 0.25 AUD, not 3.5%. Some lists also omit the 2.5% currency conversion fee, the one-time shop set-up fee (Etsy does not publish the amount on the pages we read), and deposit fees.

Try it with your country

The Etsy fee calculator applies these rates to a price and shipping and shows the date they were checked. Add costs in the profit calculator, read how fees show up on the monthly statement, and see the currency conversion guide if your listing currency differs from your payment account.
